  3. Personalised careers profile
  4. Links to Careers in all subjects

We pride ourselves on offering a strong integrated offer of support to students which incorporates work both in tutor time, working on STEPS booklets and within the PSHE curriculum, in years 7-9. Years 10 and 11 are mainly focused upon detailed, structured preparation for work experience and college / apprenticeship applications and mentoring.

We offer opportunities to visit local businesses and industries, talk to employers during assemblies and enterprise workshops, and chances to try out a variety of taster sessions at local colleges and Universities.

A dedicated Careers Advisor from Sheffield Futures, Zoe Barber works closely with senior staff responsible for Careers Education and post-16 progression into further education, training or employment. She also provides 1 to 1 careers guidance to students and offers drop in sessions if students wish to self- refer for advice on options, routes into further training and employment, such as A Levels or Apprenticeships or applications and interviews.

Students and parents/carers are given a range of opportunities to attend relevant Post-16 evenings, visits and interviews so they are ready to make the next important step when they leave school. In 2018, over 30 providers attended the Post-16 Open Evening event to provide support and guidance to students and parents/carers.

Updates will be found here for academic year 2019-20.
